2016 has been a stellar year for experimental hip hop luminary DJ Shadow, aka Josh Davis, with the release of his critically acclaimed studio album The Mountain Will Fall – his first release in five years – drawing praise from all corners, from the Guardian who called the record “impressive in its inventiveness” to MOJO who claimed “Shadow is back in the frame” and AV Club who hailed it as “DJ Shadow’s best work since his early-aughts heyday”. For many, it is Shadow’s 1996 debut album Endtroducing that they keep returning to, widely regarded as a groundbreaking release that paved the way for experimental hip hop and changed the shape of electronic music from that point on. Upon its release The Guardian gave it a 5* review and called it “One of the most daring and original albums of recent times”, continuing, “This is genius”, while Spin wrote that the album ""practically folds you into its symphonic fantasia, the coming-of-age story of a 24-year-old bunk-bed dreamer."" Almost a decade later Pitchfork awarded Endtroducing a perfect 10 in their review of the 2005 Deluxe Edition, calling the record “deeply spiritual.”

"Influx" is the first Mo' Wax single by American DJ/producer DJ Shadow, who credited this as being with "The Groove Robbers", which is him. Backed with "Hindsight", this was released in 1993.

"Lost & Found (S.F.L.)"/"Kemuri" is a split single on Mo' Wax between American producer DJ Shadow and Japanese producer DJ Krush. Originally released in 1994, this CD was released on 27 May, 1996.

"Stem" is the 1997 single by American producer Josh Davis, better known as DJ Shadow. Released in support of his debut album Endtroducing, this also features two songs not on the album. This is a Mo' Wax release.

"You Can't Go Home Again" is the first single in support of DJ Shadow's second album, The Private Press. Released in 2002, this features two edits of the single, two songs not on the album plus a "Letter From Home" that was removed from the official version of the album.

This is the second official single in support of The Private Press by DJ Shadow, with a remix featuring Mos Def. "100 Metre Dash" originally appeared on early test pressings of The Private Press but was removed before the final mix was complete. "Dark Days" is the 2000 single by American artist/producer Josh Davis, known under the pseudonym DJ Shadow. Released on 26 September, 2000, this was created as a theme song for the documentary film about those who live in the railway tunnels of New York City. Shadow did new mixes for a few of his older songs but "Dark Days" was done specifically as something new.

Pre-Emptive Strike is a 1998 compilation album by American artist/producer Josh Davis, known under the pseudonym DJ Shadow. Released on 13 January, 1998, it features many of his singles he did before the release of his debut album, Endtroducing and his then-latest single, "High Noon". This CD also features a bonus disc of various Shadow songs mixed by DJ Q-Bert called Camel Bobsled Race, which had been released in UK as a stand-alone disc.

High Noon is the 1997 single by American artist/producer Josh Davis, known under the pseudonym DJ Shadow. This was released through Mo' Wax and was his first post-Endtroducing project.

BASIC Beats Sampler is the 1992 promotional CD released by the short-lived HollywoodBASIC, a hip-hop subsidiary distributed at the time by Disney. It features early tracks by Raw Fusion, Organized Konfusion, one of the first remixes done by DJ Shadow and two songs by Queen "ruined" (remixed) by producer Rick Rubin.

Brainfreeze is a collaborative album between Joshua Davis and Lucas McFadden, better known as American DJ's and producers DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist. This is a collection of them mixing up classic soul and other funky oddities from their collection. This was released on the short-lived one-off label Sixty 7 Recordings.

The Private Repress is a 2003 compilation album by DJ Shadow, featuring various mixes and remixes of songs originally on his 2002 album The Private Press. This was released in Japan by Island Records.

Renegades Of Rhythm is a tour hip-hop DJ's DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist did together by taking records from the collection of Afrika Bambaataa and creating some wonderful music. This was released by Pillage Roadshow.

Midnight In A Perfect World is the second single released by DJ Shadow in support of his 1996 album, Endtroducing. These are the CD singles in the UK and the US, both with a few different tracks from one another.
