Rock, Blues and Jazz. Influenced by such artists as: Early Eric Clapton, Gary Moore, Carlos Santana, Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix and B.B. King. "This album is an eclectic offering of my musical interests with some tributes to some of my favorite artists. I believe that developing one's guitar playing is a never ending journey. To me, it is a combination of painting on a large canvas and playing chess. Always pondering the next move one should make to take the painting to the next level. Making every effort to keep the listener interested in your musical expression. While at the same time realizing that one needs to articulate one's expression in a way that is comprehend-able to the listener. I suppose it's about being "Tasteful". Certainly exemplified by such greats as Eric Clapton and Gary Moore. Great phrasing and technique. I feel that this album is yet another chapter in my journey to make some paintings that will endure the test of time. I appreciate those that choose take a listen. Thanks!"

Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP) is one of the most popular and successful english progressive rock bands in history. The main characteristics that made the trio so popular were their technical skills and their showmanship. It wasn't very usual -back then- to see such technically proficient musicians like keith Emerson (keyboards) or Carl Palmer (drums) to develop such a highly-visual concert experience; which in fact made an often quite complex music genre, instantly appealing to a broad audience. The Many Faces of Emeron, Lake & Palmer is a key release that shows uknown aspects of their successful career.

Almost Heaven is the tenth regular studio album by European-American pop group The Kelly Family. Based on a concept by Dan Kelly, it was co-produced by Kathy and Paddy Kelly and released in 1996 throughout most of Europe. Following the major success of previous albums Over the Hump and Christmas for All and the number-one single "I Can't Help Myself," the album debuted number-one in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. It also entered the top 5 in the Netherlands and Norway and made it to the top 20 in Belgium. Almost Heaven eventually sold more than three million copies worldwide, making it the band's second biggest-selling release to date.

Infected's sound still suggests dance-pop, especially on the title track. But don't get the impression that it's made for dancing. Instead of the light fare displayed on Soul Mining, Infected's songs seethe instead of preen, and Matt Johnson's lyrics are laced with tension. Thematically, he plunges a lance into the exposed midsection of Great Britain, analyzing the state of modern urban life in the country. "This is the land where nothing changes," Johnson sings on the World Party-ish "Heartland." "A land of red buses and blue bloody babies/This is the place where the hearts are being cut from the welfare state." "Angels of Deception" matches rain-slicked verses to a powerful chorus flavored with gospel backup singers and enormous reverb percussion. With production tricks like this, Infected aligns itself with the dance-pop sound of its predecessor (and the prevailing sound of British pop music at the time). But there's no denying the record's acerbic lyricism or dark-toned instrumentation.

This is CD premiere of 2nd album by great but very underrated US hard rock band from New York. This excellent record was released in the end of 1972 by RCA Victor and just like debut LP (from the same year) should be described as blues-based, guitar-dominated and very energetic rock music inspired by Led Zeppelin, Free, Humble Pie and Mountain, based on catchy guitar riffs, great vocals, fine keyboards and very solid rhythm section. It’s hard to find weak track on this album! Unfortunately, this badly promoted record went completely unnoticed and (after some demo recordings made for unreleased 3rd album) the band split up in 1973. This CD has been carefully remastered from the original, analogue source and sounds really great!

On 1978: The Year The UK Turned Day-Glo, we investigate the sounds of 1978 as the original punk template fractured into a dazzling day-glo riot of sub-genres: new wave, post-punk, proto-Oi, power-pop, punk poets, the mod revival, ska-punk, synth-oriented electronic/industrial music and a whole load of additional noises that, over forty years later, have still to be classified by the fifth estate, the fourth column or even the Third Reich. We document various regional scenes, paying close attention to the likes of Manchester, Scotland and, in particular, Northern Ireland, where the arrival of punk was a life-affirming relief from the horrors of everyday life.

Absolution (Joe Fawcett Guitars & Vocals - Ben Gardner Bass - Doug Lang Drums & Percussion) formed in May 2010. Now, following healthy sales and critical acclaim for both their debut album, Issues (2012) as well as the follow-up live effort Live From The Front, (2013) along with a fast-growing international fan base, Absolution unleash their third album, Dusty Road. Absolution create a fresh and electrifying sound. If you are in need of comparisons then they are best described as a British Blues Rock power trio, projecting the excitement of a souped-up Cream, and containing trace elements of early ZZ Top with a bit of Joe Bonamassa thrown in for good measure! However, the three musicians from different backgrounds inject sufficient different styles into their music to distinguish them from the pack, not in the least via their quality original songs.

Rick Wakeman's third solo album is among his best, as he employs his vast array of keyboards to their full extent, musically describing the characters pertaining to the days of King Arthur's reign. With orchestra and choir included, although a little less prevalent than on Journey, he musically addresses the importance and distinguishing characteristics of each figure through the use of multiple synthesizers and accompanying instruments. "Lady of the Lake" is given a mystical, enchanted feel, perpetrated by a more subtle use of piano and synthesizer, while the battle of "Sir Lancelot and the Black Knight" is made up of a barrage of feuding keyboard runs and staccato riffs, musically recounting the intensity of the duel.

DECADES - THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION summarises the music of each decade from the 1950s to the 1990s - one per CD! The 1950s disc delves into classic rock'n'roll (Everly Brothers, Johnny Kidd & The Pirates), rhythm & blues (Ray Charles, The Coasters), and pop (Bobby Darin, Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers). CD2 covers the 1960s and the remarkable breadth that the decade produced - from The Monkees to Marmalade, from Sam & Dave to Sonny & Cher, and The Drifters to The Searchers. The 1970s are captured on the third disc: be it disco favourites (You Sexy Thing, Young Hearts Run Free), glam rock (Tiger Feet, Ballroom Blitz), reggae (Everything I Own, Uptown Top Ranking), or joyous pop (Hooked On A Feeling, Love Is In The Air) - it's all there. CD4 features the 1980s and huge hits by Rick Astley, Duran Duran, a-ha, Kylie Minogue, Madness and Tina Turner, whilst the final disc rounds off the collection with the 1990s: Groove Is In The Heart, Love Shack, Return Of The Mack, and Rhythm Is A Dancer are just the tip of the iceberg. With 100 tracks across five discs and five decades, this is the best of the best.

The album that boosted Focus into at least semi-fame outside of continental Europe, Moving Waves blasts off with their hit single, "Hocus Pocus." Built around a killer guitar hook by Jan Akkerman and a series of solo turns by the band, this instrumental replaced "Wipeout" as a staple of FM radio. The bizarrely hilarious vocal and accordion solos by Thijs van Leer – one of which absurdly concludes with rousing stadium cheers – have to be heard to be believed. After this over-the-top performance, the other tracks seem comparatively constrained: the gentle "Le Clochard" features some gorgeous classical guitar over Mellotron strings. The album concludes with "Eruption," which while mimicking the multi-suite nomenclature of Yes and King Crimson, is essentially a side-long jam session.

Night & Day: Big Band is the eighteenth studio album by the American band Chicago, and twenty-second overall, released in 1995. It is a departure from Top 40 material for a more thematic project, with a focus on classic big band, jazz, and swing music. Chicago left Reprise Records and started their own imprint, Chicago Records, to distribute their music. This album was carried by Giant Records, a subsidiary of Warner Music, who also distributes Reprise. With producer Bruce Fairbairn, Chicago recorded Night & Day: Big Band from late 1994 to early 1995 and released it that May. Although Bruce Gaitsch joined the band and played guitar on the album sessions, the guitar slot would be filled by Keith Howland later that year. Joe Perry of Aerosmith was brought in to add a solo to "Blues in the Night".

Cut Loose is Paul Rodgers (of Free and Bad Company fame) debut solo album. Unlike his other work, Paul Rodgers plays all the instruments on this album. It was recorded at his house in Kingstone. The song "Live In Peace" was re-recorded by his next band The Firm on their second album Mean Business. "Superstar Woman" was originally an unreleased Bad Company song and was re-recorded by Rodgers for this album. (the original version was eventually released on the Bad Company Anthology in 1999). Released in 1983, the album peaked at #135 on the Billboard's 200 chart.

Looking for a smart, never-out-of-style singer who turns in a perfectly solid collection of Christmas songs, including a few surprises? J.T. is your man on James Taylor at Christmas, which is nicely balanced between pop and jazz selections, with more stately hymn-like fare and balladry. Always fine in his charmingly understated voice, Taylor and company try out the old gospel standard "Go Tell It on the Mountain" and the memorable "Some Children See Him." He smoothly cuts through "Winter Wonderland" and "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" with a bit of jazz flavor, and reprises Joni Mitchell's increasingly popular Christmas song (even though it's about getting away from the holiday), "River." One of the album's most satisfying delights is Taylor's funky version of "Jingle Bells," sung in a kind of barroom stomp with the most intriguing phrasing since Barbra Streisand sang it in the '60s. Soulful and bright and moody as well (when Taylor sings "In the Bleak Midwinter," you believe it's indeed rough), there's barely a clinker here.

Doremi may not be Hawkwind's most renowned album, but it carries the same type of prog rock spaciness as their first two releases. Even though the keyboard playing is trimmed down just a tad, the introduction of Ian Kilmister, otherwise known as Lemmy of Motörhead fame, makes up for it. With Lemmy's hard-lined guitar playing and Del Dettmar's synthesizer stabs, tracks like "Space Is Deep" and "The Watcher" are infused with elaborate instrumental meanderings in perfect Hawkwind fashion. The longer tracks, both "Brainstorm" and "Time We Left This World Today," find Lemmy settling into the band's extraordinary milieu, but it ended up being the album's strongest cuts. There's a harder feel to the songs all the way through, with the guitar and drums coming to the forefront ahead of DikMik's "generators" and "hot electronics"…
