Creation vs. Evolution: What was before what we know?

Paleontology lover, almost two decades ago I began to find many flaws in the theory of evolution. The things that I studied and discovered did not correspond to the claims of the evolutionists, and there were more and more inconsistencies, inconsistencies, and even outright lies that I was coming across. What was this for? Why would there be an interest in manipulating the paleontological record? Who wins something with that?
