Practical Flaw Detection Demo, Sizing of flaws using DAC and DGS (AVG), DGS (AVG) explained in detail step by step,
What you'll learn
Ultrasonic Inspection (UT Level 2) - Deep Learning Experience based on ISO 9712 (international standard for the qualification and certification).
Practical demonstration videos using an ultrasonic flaw detector provide a "hands-on feeling" of how to work with an ultrasonic equipment
Quizzes will help you to get an idea to what extend you understood the subjects in the different sessions.
You will learn about practical applications in ultrasonic inspection.
You will get familiar with the terminology in ultrasonic inspection.
You will learn how calibration is made on a flaw detector for particular inspection jobs.
You will learn about the different methods of sizing flaws in ultrasonic testing using DAC and DGS(AVG) technologies
The DGS (AVG) sizing method will be explained in depths step by step and you will learn how to use it manually and by creating the curves using a flaw detector.
You will be able to follow the process of verifying the results of using the DGS (AVG) sizing method on a special made verification test block.
Requirements
This UT level 2 course is for people with some background in ultrasonic testing. It is recommended to go through my "Full Pratice-oriented Level1 Course in Ultrasonic Testing"
You will have a deep learning experience since everything is explained in detail. However, if you have difficulties to follow the explanations, I recommend to first go through my Level 1 course.
The practical video demonstrations will give you some kind of feeling how it is to operate a flaw detector and how to use ultrasonic probes and calibration blocks. If you did not work with an ultrasonic flaw detector yet, I recommend to go through my UT Level 1 course first.
Description
Deep learning Ultrasonic Testing and Inspection supported by practical demonstrations using an ultrasonic flaw detector; Quizzes & certification. Practical demonstrations and experiments, verification of results for DAC and DGS (AVG) flaw sizing techniques. Ultrasonic Inspection is a very interesting field covering a huge number of applications in almost all industries. Besides the known applications in Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Chemical Plants, Plastic fabrication, Railways, Aircraft and Aerospace, Automotive industry etc., there are also additional special application such as measuring the E-modulus on various materials, especially on grey cast iron to determine the quality, gold testing to verify the genuineness, determining the ripeness of fruits, measuring the fat thickness on pigs, and many more.Working in the field for ultrasonic inspection is an exciting job. Often the target is to find the right method with the right equipment to solve a quality problem.Learning ultrasonic inspection is usually a combination of theoretical education combined with practical exercises using ultrasonic equipment (Flaw Detector, Probes, Calibration- and test blocks). It is hard and not very effective to learn Ultrasonic Inspection from a book or other educational online program without taking into account the practical side. My approach in this UT 2 course is to integrate practical exercises using ultrasonic equipment, which helps a lot to fully understand the Ultrasonic inspection concept and its applications. The focus in UT Level 2 lies on the flaw sizing techniques in ultrasonic testing. The most common methods DAC and DGS (AVG) are explained and demonstrated in practical videos including eye opening experiments when we verify the results of the DGS (AVG) method manually (through the DGS diagram) and self generated curves in the flaw detector using a special made test block with circular disk reflectors of different sizes and distances. The demand for Ultrasonic personnel is high in almost all countries. There are great chances for a good career in this field and it is open to almost everybody. For Level 1 UT, almost all people are welcome whatever background they have. Attending a course at one of the certified and authorized NDT training center for UT Level I training will take about 2 weeks and costs a few thousand US Dollar. A certification is handed out after an examination is passed in theory and practice. This exam costs usually some hundreds US Dollar. Since the course does not provide enough practical experience, the Level 1 holder needs to spend a couple of months in a company where UT is used to extend his Know-How and practical experience.A Level 1 holder is then ready to perform inspections under supervision of a UT Level 2 person. If a Level 1 holder wants to go further, it is also possible to become a Level 2 certified person. After that you can specialize in various fields for advanced Ultrasonics and/or become a Level 3 person, who is overlooking the UT work of Level 1 and Level 2 personnel, develops and creates testing procedures and signs documents verifying that the testing job was properly conducted and documented.Once you completed the UT Level I and Level 2 courses, you shall have lots of job opportunities in any country of the world.I would like to encourage you to start your journey in one of the most lucrative and fastest-growing field of quality control and ultrasonic testing.Certificate of attendanceTo receive a certificate of successful attendance to this course you will need to send a request for an online test which takes about 30 minutes and cost 99 USD. With this certificate in connection with the Know How you achieved in this course it will certainly be easy to find a job in the NDT business.Special offer for the Ultrasonic Testing EquipmentMany people in the NDT business also start working as a Freelancer and they usually need to have their own UT equipment. Please get in touch with me, if you need help in selecting the right items for your UT package.By the way, the UFD 900 Flaw Detector as used for the practical demonstrations in this course with all the probes, cables and calibration blocks used is available for a heavily discounted price of Euro 5,590.Enroll Now and have fun with the UT Level 2 course!
