In my rush to find the best guitarists in the classical genre, I found Pepe Romero, Spanish guitarist member of the legendary guitar group Los Romeros of Spain. I heard this LP on the radio for many, many years, to be exact is the "Concierto Madrigal for 2 Guitars" by Joaquín Rodrigo. Besides accompanying in The Academy Of St. Martin-in-the-Fields Orchestra, conducted by Neville Marriner.
This concert suggests listening from start to finish. It has extraordinarily bright moments. Two examples are "Fandango" or "Zapateado (Allegro Vivace )" where 2 guitars shine brilliantly . Finally I must add that this concert is inspired by Renaissance music, such as "Madrigal (Andante Nostalgico)" based on the famous Italian motet "O felici occhi miei " and popularized by Diego Ortiz with his "Recercadas". I invite you to listen to music that will move you to tears (no exaggeration).
