Pixels (2015)

"Pixels" is a 2015 science fiction comedy film directed by Chris Columbus. The movie follows a group of arcade game experts who are recruited by the government to combat an alien invasion orchestrated by extraterrestrial beings who misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war. The experts must use their gaming skills to save the world and defeat the invading aliens in a series of challenges inspired by classic video games.
