Alborosie's classic roots reggae album, "Soul Pirate" (which has over 223 million Spotify album plays) gets a dub version makeover. Featuring the classic tracks, "Kingston Town" and "Herbalist"- the "Soul Pirate" album was the result of Alborosie's six years at Geejam studios in Jamaica and was in partnership with local artists. Now, this classic album has a new dub remix produced by Alborosie.

Moonchild Sanelly - real name Sanelisiwe Twisha - announces her long-awaited second album. The trailblazing South African musician signed to Transgressive Records in 2020, kicking off with diverse mini-LP Nüdes. Now, she returns to the international label with her genre-crossing second album Phases. Forming a sonic foundation that veers between Amapiano, Gqom, grime, pop, house and R&B while showcasing her vocal talents on more downtempo songs, Phases 19-tracks document the varying chapters of a toxic relationship and subsequent freedom. A double album, the first side is a journey through the relationship with production reflecting those different moods and aspects of her personality; the second side, meanwhile, leads into a clubbier amapiano space.

“Redman International - We Run Things” is a deep dive into the catalogue of top-ranking Jamaican record producer Hugh ‘Redman’ James, featuring digital Dancehall scorchers from the likes of Gregory Isaacs, Sugar Minott, John Holt, Frankie Paul and many more. Redman first got his start with his idol, the Dub pioneer King Tubby, back in 1985 after he helped to reignite Tubby’s musical career by facilitating the purchase of a state-of-the-art mixing desk from the USA. He often worked with the hottest musicians on the island such as the Roots Radics and Steely & Clevie, the latter of which really helped to shape Redman’s signature sound, rough and tough basslines, digital drum machines with heavily syncopated rhythms and synth-infused melodies which resonated with the Dancehall massive in a big way.

An epic set of 15 tracks, Havana Meets Kingston Part 2 unites the deep roots grooves of reggae, dancehall and rocksteady with the scorching soul of Cuban son, timba and salsa.

Dub abstractionist Kevin Martin aka The Bug completes the incendiary urban triptych he began way back in 2008 with London Zoo, and continued with 2014’s Angels & Devils. The timing of his coda - Fire - is a perfect balm for our sorry state of affairs.
