Born April 15, 1966, London, England. While she was taking her 0 level exams, well-endowed 16-year-old Samantha was discovered by SUN newspaper and promoted as a topless model. Her debut single in 1986, "Touch Me", was well received by critics, who praised her strong vocal performance. This thing hit number three on the charts. After this, she released "Do Ya, Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)" which also reached the UK TOP 10. Other songs that became hits in Britain were "Hold On Tight", "Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now" and "I Surrender". To prove that former newspaper models can also be serious artists, Fox releases his singles on the US market. There she enjoyed even greater success with three hits in the TOP 10. In 1991, Samantha finished her first film, tentatively titled THE FINAL EMBRACE.

As a songwriter and performer, Willie Nelson has played a vital role in post-rock & roll country music. Although he didn't become a star until the mid-'70s, he spent the 1960s writing songs that became hits for stars like Ray Price ("Night Life"), Patsy Cline ("Crazy"), Faron Young ("Hello Walls"), and Billy Walker ("Funny How Time Slips Away"), as well as releasing a series of records on Liberty and RCA that earned him a small but devoted cult following. During the early '70s, Willie abandoned Nashville for his native Texas, setting up shop with the redneck hippies in Austin and taking control of his music on the landmark Shotgun Willie (1973) and Phases & Stages (1974). Nelson found a kindred spirit in Waylon Jennings and, together, they spearheaded the outlaw country movement that finally made him a star by 1975. Following the crossover success of that year's Red Headed Stranger and "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain," Nelson became a genuine success, as recognizable in pop circles as he was to country audiences; in addition to recording, he also launched an acting career in the early '80s.

Jack White One of the great rock conceptualists of the 21st century, Jack White came to fame as the leader of the White Stripes, the Detroit-based garage-punk duo who unexpectedly became one of the biggest rock acts of the 2000s. The White Stripes established White as a roots rocker – he made sure they covered blues chestnuts from Son House – to such a degree that his modernist art instincts were somewhat overshadowed during the band's peak. These dueling, sometimes complementary instincts, fueled White's myriad artistic pursuits both within and without the confines of the White Stripes.

The Collected Cat Stevens is a three-disc box set that by no means eclipses the four-disc package released in 2001, bit does give it a good run for its money. Largely chronological, but oddly relegating some of Stevens' earliest hits to the end of the final disc, the box opens and closes with two of his most emotive numbers, the hit "Lady D'Arbanville," and the questioning "Father and Son," first heard in their familiar studio form, and then as live recordings. In between times, a total of 54 tracks bounces through Stevens career, from "Matthew & Son" through to "*"Midday (Avoid City After Dark)," credited to the singer's latter-day Yusuf Islam identity, and it's difficult to pick fault with any of the inclusions – even those which, like "Moonshadow," "Morning Has Broken" and, indeed, "Father and Son," are so tweely saccharin that it seems incredible anybody ever took them seriously. They did, though, and Stevens remains one of the few early-'70s singer/songwriters whose ouvre continues to attract new listeners with every passing generation. This smartly projected box will only add to their numbers.

As the '60s dawned, Marty continued to enjoy chart success while evolving his sound away from American rock 'n' roll. The 2023 release of Dr. John - Malcolm Rebennack (The Crazy Cajun Recordings) is a compilation of early recordings by the legendary New Orleans musician, Dr. John (real name: Malcolm Rebennack). These tracks were recorded during his formative years in the mid-1960s, long before he adopted the "Dr. John" persona that made him famous. The compilation highlights his roots in New Orleans R&B, blues, and early rock and roll, showcasing his distinctive piano work and unique vocal style that would later shape his career.

The Main Ingredient were one of the best smooth soul groups of the early '70s, but they've never been given much respect in terms of CD retrospectives. They were given two comps in 1990 – Collectables' good but cheap Golden Classics and RCA's lengthier All Time Greatest Hits, which had more tunes but bad sound – and in 1996 RCA issued Quiet Storm, a collection of their romantic ballads, but the group still needed a well-produced, remastered collection of their biggest hits.

Try Anything Once is the first solo album by Alan Parsons, released in 1993. It was his first album since the split of The Alan Parsons Project. This album features vocals by Ambrosia's David Pack, Jacqui Copland, former Mindbender and 10cc guitarist Eric Stewart, and Manfred Mann's Earth Band frontman Chris Thompson. The album features completely digital recording and mixing. It was recorded at Parson's first "Parsonics" studio in Sussex England with the orchestra recorded at Air Studios in London.
