"Hide Your Heart" (released under the title "Notes from America" in the United States, Canada and Brazil), is the 7th studio album by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler. It was released in Europe on 9 May 1988 by CBS, and in the US on 20 September 1988 by Columbia Records. The album was recorded in Woodstock, New York, and produced by Desmond Child. Unlike Tyler's previous two releases, the album failed to chart on the Billboard 200, but did see success in Europe. Tyler's first single from the album was "The Best", which was the best performing single, reaching #10 in Norway and Portugal, #20 in Spain and #95 in the UK. Other singles included "Hide Your Heart", "Save Up All Your Tears", "Don't Turn Around", and the U.S. title track "Notes From America".

Starcatcher doesn't find Greta Van Fleet returning to their roots – that'd be a premature move, they're only a half-decade into their career – so much as making a bid for street cred: they're stripping away the studio gloss so they can stand on their merits as a rock & roll band. Smartly, the group hired Dave Cobb, the Nashville musician who made his name as one of the sharpest and earthiest producers in Americana. Don't take Cobb's presence as a sign that the pride of Frankenmuth has suddenly discovered downhome roots. Cobb's résumé is littered with such credits as Sammy Hagar, Slash, and Whiskey Myers, so he's on firm footing with Greta Van Fleet.

Not as expansive as the impressive Chronicles, this edition of the excellent Gold series covers many of the greatest hits from one of Canada's top exports and finest contributors to the rock & roll tapestry. Largely covering Rush during the '70s and early '80s, Gold's track sequencing is wildly erratic with no real logic in place concerning how the songs blend into one another. But all of the hits are here, from the earliest "Working Man" and "Free Will" all the way up to the later MTV favorites. This covers pretty much all that a casual fan will ever need. Diehards will most likely own all of these songs thanks to Chronicles, but those who slept on that anthology would be well served in picking this up to fill holes in their collection.

This is an enjoyable reissue from the Babys early catalog on Chrysalis Records, but most listeners would be better served with Anthology.

Originally released in 1983, this album was recorded in between the 2 Toto albums "IV" and "Isolation", and includes most of the Toto band members, plus almost all the best studioperformers of L.A. at the time (Tom Kelly, Billy Steinberg a.m.o). The songs are well written and powerfully recorded. The 2 best known songs are the title track "Taking A Cold Look" and "Alone". The last one was also released some years later by the band Heart, but I personally like this original version better. If you like the mid-80's AOR/Westcoast sound, this album is a MUST, and the sooner you buy it, the better - for you!
